Mysuru, 27th June 2019: NR Foundation, the philanthropic arm of NR group, under project prerepana upgrades and enhanced the anganwadi centers in Eklavyanagar and Ambedkar GanaLoka in association with the implementing partners Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM). The new anganwadi’s were inaugurated by Smt. Padma, Women and Child Welfare Department and Smt. Manjula Patil, Child Development Officer, Mysuru Rural. The anganwadi’s were passed on to the community workers by Mr. R Guru, Chairman, NR Group.

Besides redecorating the classroom walls with paintings of cartoons, animals, birds and other interactive caricatures, the foundation also provided required classroom furniture and toys. Electrical, and civil fittings along with the toilets and the kitchens were also refurbished. At present there are nearly 30 students in each anganwadi.

“As an organization we have always worked for the betterment of communities in and around Mysore. This move was also initiated for the same purpose; to secure the futures of future bread earners in these communities. This initiative will facilitate thee ducation for children in these areas. We look forward to moulding these children into responsible and contributing members of tomorrow’s society.”- said Mr. Guru, Chairman of NR Foundation.
